Lykke Communities

Lykke Communities (“LOO-kah”) has a mission: to inspire a happier, more vibrant community by fostering meaningful relationships in the spaces we live, work, and play.

This includes using public health strategies to support policies, systems and environments where connection becomes the default, by designing spaces that promote belonging, inclusion, and cohesion. Applying ‘Happiness’ Science

What makes us happy and healthy?

Meaningful social connections are not only a key driver to happiness—they are also a protective factor for our ability to bounce back from traumatic experiences: resilience.

We Are founded on the basic principles of PERMA

Lykke Communities is focused on creating resilient, connected communities utilizing the PERMA model as its core foundation.

PERMA is an acronym for a model of well-being put forth by a pioneer in the field of positive psychology, Martin Seligman. According to Seligman, there are five core elements that correlate with individual thriving and wellbeing:

  • Positive emotions – feeling good
  • Engagement – being completely absorbed in activities
  • Relationships – being authentically connected to others
  • Meaning – purposeful existence
  • Achievement – a sense of accomplishment and success

"Coming together is a beginning. Keeping together is progress. Working together is success." - Henry Ford
